The Do-It-Together light is a lightshade that we create collaboratively. We provide the materials, parts and tools, and you make it yourself.
We have printed the shapes of the elements on organic cotton and with the supplied cutting wheel and cutting mat, you can cut these out. Then you follow the very clear instructions to fix the 3D printed fixing onto the wire of a pendant lightbulb, insert the metal arms and hang the cut-out fabric pieces.
You can decide how to finish the lightshade, leave it in the beautiful plain organic cotton or colour it, embroider it, perforate it, anything you like. Here are some ideas.
You can hang the D.I.T. Light on an existing pendant light which are also widely available from hardware stores.
